The IPA was founded in 1986 and its membership consists of the most prominent international clinicians and scientists involved in performing and researching photodynamic therapy (PDT) and photodiagnosis (PD). The purpose of the IPA is promote the study of diagnosis and treatment using light and photosensitisers, to disseminate such information to the members of the IPA, the medical community and to the general public.The IPA organises an International Congress every two years which is a unique opportunity to sum up research activities in the clinical and basic research aspects of PDT.

Financial Support Application

Some financial support for IPA and SPIE members will be available for students and young researchers with accepted abstracts.

Applicants should follow the procedure described below:

  1. 1. Create a PDF file with:

    • A brief CV (~2 pages), including current professional status (student, postdoc, professor, research staff, ...) and a list of publications
    • Letter or other evidence of professional status
    • Letter from a Department head, professor or supervisor confirming that the applicant will be allowed to attend the event
    • Evidence of membership of IPA or SPIE
    • A letter from the applicant including the reason why IPA-SPIE-2015 should make the award to the applicant. The letter should include the title of the submitted abstract.
  2. 2. Send the file to ipa-spie-2015@ifsc.usp.br no later than February 27, 2015 (e-mail subject: “Financial Support Application”)

Notification of the decision: March 27, 2015.
